Installing the Reader
Find your operating system below and follow the system-specific installation instructions.
OSX/MacOS Installation

Requires macOS 10.11+ El Capitan or later
  1. Download the DMG installer file
  2. Open the DMG file
  3. Drag the Cauldron Reader application to the Applications folder
  4. Start the Cauldron Reader application to complete the installation process
Installation Options:

Recommended for most users

Portable (ZIP)
For those without administrator privileges or are having difficulty with the standard installer. Simply unzip and run the Cauldron application file found inside the unzipped folder.
Windows Installation

Requires Windows 8.1 or later
  1. Download the EXE setup file
  2. Allow the EXE setup file to run by right clicking on it and clicking on "properties" at the bottom of the context menu. In the properties dialog, there may be a check box near the bottom of the dialog for unblocking the application. You need to check this box and then click OK in the dialog or Windows will prevent the Cauldron installer from running.
  3. Double-click on the EXE setup file to run the automatic installer
  4. Cauldron Reader will open automatically once installation is complete

  1. Download the DEB installer file
  2. Double-click on the DEB installer to open the graphical package management installer
  3. Install the application
You can also install the file from a terminal using the commands:

$ sudo dpkg -i /path/to/cauldron-installer.deb $ sudo apt-get install -f .
